Yoga for Stiff People
Twice a week: Mondays and Wednesdays
Current SESSION STARTS Wed., July 13th 5:10-6:00pm
NEXT SESSION STARTS Wed., August 10th 5:10-6:00pm

Once a Week: Wednesdays 6:15-7:15pm

While the health and flexibility benefits of yoga are well-known, people who are very stiff often find themselves unwilling to start a practice alongside other more flexible or experienced students. This class is designed specifically for first-timers or "lapsed yogis" who regularly experience stiffness.

If you wake up with morning stiffness, are recovering from illness or injury, or have difficulty moving the way you used to, this class will help you recover lost flexibility, vitality, and ease of movement and acquaint or reacquaint you with regular yoga practice.

These sessions are appropriate for all students at all levels.

About Melanie Altrich

Melanie Altrich M.Ed, CYT-200 has been practicing yoga for almost a decade in predominantly Hatha, Vinyasa and Power styles. She received her 200 hour yoga teacher certification through Yoga of Energy Flow with Daniel Orlansky and Liz Owen.

Melanie enjoys guiding practitioners to connect the body, mind and spirit with breath and movement, to release and discover their true inner self. She believes in encouraging acceptance of self, on and off the mat, while challenging students to open their body with mindful attention to alignment, breath and body awareness.
